Got Ink??

Another way to donate is by collecting used ink cartridges from your printer, cell phones or larger toner cartridges from business printers.
We participate in a program that pays Pei People for our collection and recycling efforts!

We used to be able to send out envelopes so you could send them in directly, but the recycler stopped that program.  If you have cartridges that you'd like to donate (original branded ones, no refilled ones please), please mail them to:

In Need of Adoption

Ginger & Roger

Ginger (left) is an 10 year old female shar pei/lab mix.  Roger (right) is a 8 year old male shar pei/lab mix.  They are mother and son and were turned in by their owners to the shelter.

They are SUPER RELAXED and calm.  Both are large and happy and would love to spend their day hanging out in a yard.  They like being around people and other dogs.  They don't need a high fence, cause they are happy at home with you!
See their You Tube video by clicking here
These two need to be adopted together.   They have lived the last 8 years together and should enjoy the rest of their years together.

Both are super gentle and sweet.  Both are crate trained, ride well in the car,  are housetrained, and take treaks gently.  They are both well mannered and get along with other dogs and kids.   Both are quiet (not barkers at all) and love to give kisses and curl up with you.

Both are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and full of love!!!

Miss P (also known as Josie)

Josie is a 7 year old female pointer? / shar pei mix.  She was adopted 4 years ago as Miss P.  Her owner had a stroke and is no longer able to care for her, so we are looking for a new home for her.  She is a great happy girl.  She prefers to be an only dog, but is a great loyal companion.    She's gained a little weight from this photo, but we are getting her back in slim shape!

Josie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Hank

Hank is a 4? year old (we need to confirm age with our vet) male brushcoat shar pei.   He was recently rescued from a Southern California shelter.   He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.    Hank is very sweet, rides well in the car (he prefers the shotgun passenger position) and appears good with other dogs (but more testing is needed).

email: info@peipeople.com

Lulu

Lulu is an approximately 1 year old female brushcoat shar pei.  This is her shelter photo and we will post better photos soon.   She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines prior to adoption.   We know she is super sweet and is good with other dogs (she shared a cell at the shelter with other dogs).

email: info@peipeople.com

Ruffio

Ruffio is an approximately 3 year old male fawn horsecoat shar pei.  He was recently rescued from a Bakersfield area shelter.  He will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines prior to adoption.  We will post better photos and more information as we learn it.

email: info@peipeople.com

Josh

Josh is a 7-8 year old stunning fawn brushcoat male shar pei.  He was rescued from a Phoenix area shelter.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.   Josh is the kind of guy you can take everywhere with you.  He is good with other dogs and loves people.   He is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door.  He is looking for a forever home and would do great with a well balanced male or female dog.
Josh is super spry, very agile, loves to walk, is healthy, jumps right into car, not the slightest bit arthritic... doesn't act like an old dog!!  He's a VERY nice boy, super dog friendly and people friendly. Even good with little dogs!

email: info@peipeople.com

Blaze

Blaze is just under 2 years old and is a isabella colored male shar pei.  He has a very short coat, but it is super soft.   Blaze would make a great running companion - he is high energy and needs a family that will keep him active.  He is really good with other dogs and love loves loves to play.  He is crate trained and seems to prefer sleeping in a crate or den-like area.   Blaze is on the smaller side - around 44 pounds. Blaze is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.  He is not a good choice if you have cats, as he'd like to chase them...

Pixie

Pixie is a tiny (just 30 pounds) mini black female horsecoat shar pei with cute prick ears!   She was just rescued from a Phoenix area shelter. She is headed to the eye specialist as she appears to have one undersized (microopthalmia) eye and abrasions on the other - so her eyesight is limited right now.  She will be spayed (and have probably eyelid/eye surgery at same time) shortly. She is being treated with ointment. Despite this she is super sweet and great with people.  More/better photos coming soon!

email: info@peipeople.com

Spot

Spot is about 5 years old and is a black/white shar pei/pug mix - ori-pei and is a big love bug.  Appears good with other dogs.  is great with people - just a happy guy.  He does have a few medical issues, but he doesn't seem to notice - bad knees (walks just fine but is darned funny looking when he sits!), some short nose breed problems with heavy breathing, and does have coat/skin issue on his belly and we are treating it with an antifungal and some great food to get him looking fabulous.  He was recently rescued from a Las Vegas area shelter.  He is right around 30 pounds.  A short video is below.

Rain

Bear

Bear is a fawn brushcoat meatmouth 1.5 year old male shar pei.  He was recently rescued from a Las Vegas shelter when his owners moved and could not take he or his brother, Grrr.  (Grrr is also available for adoption, separately or together).  Bear is recently neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

We will be having our vet look at his eyelids for entropion (rolling) to see if that is the cause of his tearing.     We believe he is good with other dogs and is very friendly.

email: info@peipeople.com

Grrr

Grrr (seriously, that's his name) is a black 1.5 year old brushcoat male shar pei that was surrendered by his owner when moving.  He came from a Las Vegas shelter and was turned in with his brother Bear (also available for adoption, together or separately).

Grrr is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We are going to have his eyes evaluated for entropion (eyelid surgery) and make sure he is healthy and ready for his new forever home.

email:  info@peipeople.com

Bevo

Bevo is a neutered 5 1/2 year old male cream shar pei. Bevo is a good boy, but has trouble keeping weight on.  we had him checked and he has a B12 vitamin deficiency.  He will have B12 injections regularly (these are NOT expensive) and is on prescription food that is easier to digest for now.   He has gained 5 pounds in a month and is currently just under 40 pounds.  He would like a home with older kids.  He appears good with other dogs, but has lived his whole life as an only dog. He did live with two cats.   He is great on a leash and is not a barker....rides great in a car and is a happy guy.

email:  info@peipeople.com

Pascal

Pascal is a 4 month old male shar pei mix.   He is great with other dogs and recently was neutered and had "cherry eye" surgery.  His vision is fine and he's ready for a new home.  He's currently fostering in the Phoenix area.

email: info@peipeople.com

Aria
*recovering from hip surgery*

Aria is an approximately 3-4 year old female shar pei.  She has a light reddish/apricot coloring.  Aria was pulled from Las Vegas shelter and had a dislocated hip (presume hit by a car - though vet said it was dislocated many months).  She had surgery to correct the situation and is expected to make a full recovery.  She is very sweet, a favorite of our volunteers and is good with other dogs!
She is currently fostering in Northern California.

We are collecting for her hip surgery (estimate is $1000+).  Please donate if you can below.
If you are interested in fostering Aria during her recovery or adopting her, please email info@peipeople.com.

Sing Sing

Sing Sing is just under 2.5 years old.  She is a black female shar pei and weighs about 50 pounds.

Sing Sing was surrendered by her original owner due to failing health. She was raised with a small dog and has fostered with multiple dogs with Pei People.

Sing is very loving, can pull on a leash (some training would be a great item for her) and loves her toys and car rides.   She was living with a cat also, but admittedly they didn't have a lot of interaction.

Sing is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Bunny
*adoption pending*

Bunny is a 3 year old female cream mini shar pei.  She is only around 32 pounds!    She was recently rescued from a high kill shelter.  She passed her shelter behavioral test with flying colors.  We believe she is good with other dogs and is great with people.   She will be spayed shortly (and evaluated for entropion eyelid rolling), is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

email: info@peipeople.com

Pancho

Pancho is a 7 year old male fawn shar pei that was left by his owners at a desert California shelter.   He is wonderful!  Shelter says nicest shar pei they ever had.   Pancho is newly neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  We believe he is good with other dogs and will post more info as we learn it.

email:  info@peipeople.com

Jesse

Jesse is about a 1 year old male shar pei.  He is good with other dogs and people.   He is neutered, is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

Jesse is currently fostering with multiple dogs (male and female) with no issues.  He loves toys.  He does need a tall secure fence (swear he can jump a 4 foot fence without a thought).
email: info@peipeople.com

Holly

Holly was recently rescued from a Southern California shelter.  She is estimated at 5 years old and is a black horsecoat.   She had a hernia that has been fixed and needs to be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  She is very tentative but affectionate.  The vet believes, due to some missing teeth and scaring that she may have been used as a bait dog - she deserves a happy and comfortable life now.   Surprisingly she is good with other dogs - even small ones!  She is house trained and does love a good nap on the couch.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Holly, email info@peipeople.com

Stella

Stella is an approximately 3 year old fawn horsecoat female shar pei.  She was recently rescued from a southern California shelter.   She is about 44 pounds, but needs to gain weight.  We are going to get her spayed and have entropion (eyelid) surgery done prior to adoption (that will stop the goopy eyes in this photo).   She knows how to "sit" on command, is crate trained and has a sweet personality.

She is very timid right now, but definitely wants to trust - will jump in your lap once she knows you and give kisses.  Walking on a leash is definitely a new thing for her - she is scared and freezes up.  (We will obviously keep working with her and once she gets used to it)   She is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

Preston

Preston is an approximately 1 year old mini red brushcoat male shar pei.  He is only 34 pounds!!!  He was rescued from a southern California shelter and is good with other dogs and loves people.   He will be neutered shortly and is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

Izzy

Izzy is a 2 year old female sable brushcoat shar pei.    She is spayed, and would do best with a family that wants her to be a constant companion.   She loves giving kisses, isn't a big fan of crates (she does settle down and will sleep in one), rides great in the car and has a super soft coat. She is good with dogs and kids, will chase cats. She is also microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

email: info@peipeople.com

Princess

Princess is a female brush coat lilac colored shar pei. Our vet estimates she is 2-3 years old. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is good with most other dogs.  She's had some skin issues and will do well on a high quality diet.

email: info@peipeople.com

Bear

Bear is an approx 1.5 year old male black brushcoat shar pei.   He is good with other dogs, loves to play and loves his people (he can be protective of them - which is not unusual of shar pei).   He would love a home with lots of activities and exercise.  He does best with older kids.   He is about 48 pounds, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

He has already had entropion (eyelid surgery) - the photo above shows his eye area still shaved from surgery, but all the nice black hair has grown back.

email: info@peipeople.com

Churchill

Churchill is an approximately 5 year old male fawn chinese shar pei.  He was good boy at the shelter (see shelter video below) and is good with other dogs.  He is about 48 pounds.   He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
Below is the video the shelter did of him prior to rescue:

Capone

Capone is an 8 year old fawn horsecoat male.  He is wonderful with people and always happy and generous with kisses.  He would do best as an only dog in the household.  He is great on a leash - isn't great with other dogs, but passes by them nicely without incident.   Capone would love a wonderful home to spend his golden years.

email: info@peipeople.com

Dolly

Dolly is a lilac female shar pei, age 4.  She was already spayed before being found stray.  She is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  She was found with another dog (already adopted) and appears good with other dogs.  She is healthy (minor ear infection) and ready for a new home!

Very happy and active, not a barker, and loves attention.

email: info@peipeople.com

Jack
*adoption pending*

Jack is a lilac male brushcoat shar pei.  He was rescued with Hope for Paws rescue and now is a Pei People pei!

Jack is almost 2 years old, is very sweet and just wants love and lots of attention.  He came in with a host of (treatable) medical problems and is now a real stunner.  He is a happy guy - loves toys and is really good with other dogs!    He was showing signs of wanting to protect his person and went to behavioral training.  He is making great progress and would love a home with an owner that takes charge and is a "pack leader".   We are recommending a home without small children and one that can provide lots of exercise and discipline (he thrives on rules and loves to please and obey).

To inquire about adoption Jack, email:  info@peipeople.com

Noelle

Noelle is a 2-3 year old isabella horsecoat female spayed shar pei.  She was found as a stray and is super sweet and nice - loves to give kisses.   She is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for adoption.  Most of the time, she is good with other dogs and great with people, but she has shown some signs of frustration in the kennel. We'd recommend a family without small children.  We'd love to find this girl a nice foster or permanent home!

email: info@peipeople.com

Sally

Sally is a bonemouth female shar pei.   She is recently spayed and ready for a new home.  She was a shelter favorite and volunteers brought her to our attention because they thought she was so great!

Sally is 4-5 years old and is around 48 pounds. She is up to date on vaccines and is microshipped.

Sally is hit and miss with other dogs (sometimes growls at them on walks, other times not).  She would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog in the household.  Sally is super sweet and loves to give kisses and take walks (she does need to learn some leash manners!).

email:  info@peipeople.com

Cognac

Cognac is just under 2 years old and is a male shar pei.  He is happy and sweet.  He has gained weight and had entropion (eyelid) surgery since coming out of the shelter.   He is a great sweet dog and the volunteers that meets him fall in love!

Cognac is good with other dogs, but can play on the rough side.  He would do well either as an only dog or with great playmates.

Cognac is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped (just waiting for you!)

email: info@peipeople.com

Charlie
This handsome boy is Charlie and he is a 70 pound bundle of joy.  He is good with other dogs.  He arrived at the shelter with his brother, who was quickly adopted (not a shar pei) and he was very sad.  So we decided to make him a Pei People dog where he'd have lots of other friends.  Now he needs a new home.  He is approx 9 years young.  He is tentative around everything at first and clearly was used to having another dog "lead" and he followed.  On his own he can be fearful around new things, but does adjust and warm up to new people.   He walks well on a leash.

He is very comfortable around a swimming pool.   He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and ready for adoption.

Mister

Mister is a fawn male horsecoat shar pei.  He is recently neutered and is 4-5 years old (best guess).   He is very sweet and was rescued from a central California shelter.   He is a bit alpha and would like a strong owner with rules.  He is great on leash - doesn't pull and doesn't care about other dogs.

email: info@peipeople.com

Nikki

Nikki is an 8 year old female fawn/apricot horsecoat shar pei.  She was taken as part of a hoarding case along with many chiahuahuas (so she is good with big & small dogs).   She also appears good with cats!
Nikki spent over 2 months at the shelter as "evidence" and is finally rescued and available for adoption.  She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.   Her eyes look good (her nails need a clip!)

video below:

Nikki deserves a wonderful home!  Is it yours?
