Got Ink??

Another way to donate is by collecting used ink cartridges from your printer, cell phones or larger toner cartridges from business printers.
We participate in a program that pays Pei People for our collection and recycling efforts!

We used to be able to send out envelopes so you could send them in directly, but the recycler stopped that program.  If you have cartridges that you'd like to donate (original branded ones, no refilled ones please), please mail them to:

In Need of Adoption

Jack

Jack is a lilac male brushcoat shar pei.  He was rescued with Hope for Paws rescue and now is a Pei People pei!

Jack is under a year old, is very sweet and just wants love and lots of attention.  He has a host of (treatable) medical problems and will be a real stunner with a couple months of TLC.  They include abcess, foxtail embedded under tongue, skin issues, bite wounds, worms, ear infection, fleas.  Despite these issues he is a happy guy - loves toys and appears good with other dogs (he is a little annoying, so they must be tolerant)!    He is showing signs of being very protective of "his person", so any new owner should expect to work with him and get training.   He should not be in a home with kids (unless there is a dedicated training plan).

We are collecting donations to help Jack with his medical care and to help his other shar pei rescue pals at Pei People.  To donate, click below:

To inquire about adoption Jack, email:  info@peipeople.com

Roscoe

Roscoe is a 10 month old male black brush coat shar pei.   He is recently neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  He is very active and loves to give kisses.  We are working on fetch (to tire him out!) and sit.  He is not so great with other dogs (greeting is currently a nip on the nose) so we will try and work on that.

email: info@peipeople.com

Rosie

Rosie is a red dilute brush coat female, about 1 year old.  According to the shelter, she is very aloof and would do best in a home without small children and experienced with shar pei.   Our volunteer found she is full of kisses and friendly.  We will post more information as we get it.

Rosie will be spayed shortly, is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

email: info@peipeople.com

Wynnie

Wynnie is a rescue from Las Vegas.  She was found as a stray with severe entropion (eyelid rolling) and multiple bite wounds.   She is now a Southern California resident, is freshly spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  We will be takien her to our vet for entropion surgery.

She is a black brushcoat and is only about 1 year old.  She is 36 pounds and good with other dogs.  She is not crazy about crates, but loves dog beds!

Garrett
*adoption pending*

Garrett is a fawn brush coat male chinese shar pei.  He is 12-18 months old and is very sweet - not a barker and while he is active, he can also be quiet and calm.   He is soon to be neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  He appears good with other dogs.

email: info@peipeople.com

Monty

Monty is a male fawn horsecoat shar pei.  His age is unknown right now, but we'll ask the vet when he is in for his neuter.  He is very sweet, is good with other dogs - including small ones!

Monty is neutered, has already had entropion (eyelid) surgery, up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption.

email: info@peipeople.com

Raylan ("Ray")

Ray is a 3 year old (best guess, will confirm with vet) cream male shar pei.  He was recently rescued from a southern California shelter.   He is very sweet and loves people.  We haven't tested him around other dogs yet... He needs entropion and was not well taken care of prior to his rescue.  He is getting the good food and TLC he needs now.  Ray will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines prior to adoption.

email: info@peipeople.com

Buddha

Buddha is a 2 year old chocolate male shar pei.  He is our newest rescue from a California shelter.  He is all licks and kisses.  Not food agressive, appears good with other dogs and super sweet.

Buddha will be neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption.

email:  info@peipeople.com

Noelle

Noelle is a one year old lilac (or isabella?) horsecoat female spayed shar pei.  She was found as a stray and is super sweet and nice - loves to give kisses.   She is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for adoption.  Most of the time, she is good with other dogs and great with people, but she has shown some signs of frustration in the kennel.  We'd love to find this girl a nice foster or permanent home!

  Ginger & Roger
*mother/son pair*

Ginger (top) is an 9 year old female shar pei.  Roger (bottom) is a 7 year old male shar pei.  They are mother and son and were turned in by their owners to the shelter.

They are SUPER RELAXED and calm.  Both are large and happy and would love to spend their day hanging out in a yard.  They like being around people and other dogs.  They don't need a high fence, cause they are happy at home with you!

See their You Tube video by clicking here
These two need to be adopted together.   They have lived the last 7 years together and should enjoy the rest of their years together.

Both are super gentle and sweet.  Both are crate trained, ride well in the car,  are housetrained, and take treaks gently.  They are both well mannered and get along with other dogs and kids.   Both are quiet (not barkers at all) and love to give kisses and curl up with you.

Both are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and full of love!!!

email: info@peipeople.com

Peggy

Peggy is an 5 year old female shar pei.  She is very well mannered, comes when called and walks well on a leash.  She gets along with other dogs and is friendly. She is a bit shy but comes around when she knows you.

Peggy is spayed, microchipped & up-to-date on vaccines.   Peggy is good with most dogs and loves to be around people!   Peggy has had trouble keep weight on and is on a special food that is made of with easily digestible proteins.

email: info@peipeople.com

Princess "2"

Princess is a female brush coat lilac colored shar pei.  Our vet estimates she is 2 years old.  She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  She is good with other dogs.  (We have two dogs named Princess right now, so be sure to ask for Princess 2 when contacting us!)

emails: info@peipeople.com

Sally

Sally is a bonemouth female shar pei.   She is recently spayed and ready for a new home.  She was a shelter favorite and volunteers brought her to our attention because they thought she was so great!

Sally is 2-3 years old and is around 48 pounds. She is up to date on vaccines and is microshipped.

Sally is hit and miss with other dogs (sometimes growls at them on walks, other times not).  She would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog in the household.  Sally is super sweet and loves to give kisses and take walks (she does need to learn some leash manners!).

email:  info@peipeople.com

Gordon

Gordon is an 11 month old red/fawn brushcoat male - simply gorgeous.   He knows sit and takes treats nicely.   He is good with other dogs - but will agress if agressed at.   He is a full 55 pounds and has a beautiful coat.    He is used to sleeping in a crate every night and is not a barker.

Gordon is getting neutered, will be up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Here is a video that features both Gordon & Boss (Boss not available):

email: info@peipeople.com

Cognac

Cognac is just over a year old and is a male shar pei.  He is happy and sweet.  He has gained weight and had entropion (eyelid) surgery since coming out of the shelter.   He is a great sweet dog and the volunteers that meets him fall in love!

Cognac is good with other dogs, but can play on the rough side.  He would do well either as an only dog or with great playmates.

Cognac is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped (just waiting for you!)

email: info@peipeople.com

Hercules

Hercules is a male shar pei with great fawn/black mixed coloring.   He is full sized at 55 pounds.   He is very sweet, takes treats gently and walks well on a leash.   The shelter reported him to be food agressive with his bowl, so he needs an adopter that can feed him separately (we haven't noticed any agression).   We think he is about 5 years old.   He is crate trained and very friendly.
Hercules is pretty mellow, walks well on a leash, appears ok with with other dogs (if other dogs bark or aggress at him, he will bark back).Hercules is already neutered, up to date on vaccines and will be microchipped prior to adoption.

Charlie
This handsome boy is Charlie and he is a 66 pound bundle of joy.  He is good with other dogs.  He arrived at the shelter with his brother, who was quickly adopted (not a shar pei) and he was very sad.  So we decided to make him a Pei People dog where he'd have lots of other friends.  Now he needs a new home.  He is approx 5-6 years young.  He is tentative around everything at first and clearly was used to having another dog "lead" and he followed.  On his own he can be fearful around new things, but does adjust and warm up to new people.   He walks well on a leash.

He is very comfortable around a swimming pool.   He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and ready for adoption.

Boss

Boss is a 10 month old lilac horsecoat male.   He is an alpha, but does get along with other dogs.  He is on the smaller side, maybe 45 pounds.

Boss is good with kids and is crate trained.  He does need to work on walking on a leash.

Boss will be neutered, microchipped & up to date on vaccines prior to adoption.

email: info@peipeople.com

Orly

Orly is a 2 year old apricot dilute (pink nose and tongue) female shar pei.   She is very active (high energy) and happy and loves people.   She is so so with other dogs (would classify her as an alpha dog and is good with neutral or submissive dogs) and is about 43 pounds.  She pulls on a leash and isn't crazy about crates.   She is a big love and is looking for her perfect home!

Click here for a video of Orly!

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Mister

Mister is a fawn male horsecoat shar pei.  He is recently neutered and is 4-5 years old (best guess).   He is very sweet and was rescued from a central California shelter.   He is a bit alpha and would like a strong owner with rules.  He is good with submissive or neutral dogs, but does get jealous when others get attention!

email: info@peipeople.com

Sinatra

Sinatra is a 2 year old fawn horse coat male.  He was rescued from a Las Vegas shelter and now is a Southern California boy!   He is recently neutered (hence the cone on his head), up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
