Want to Help?

Pei People Shar Pei Rescue is in continuous need of the following:

  • Foster volunteers (take a dog into your home short or long term)
  • Transportation volunteers (drive a dog from point A to point B)
  • Donations for vet bills (all dogs are spayed or neutered prior to placement and often other medical attention is needed)
  • Donations for kenneling costs (when no fostering is available)

Please note that Pei People Shar Pei Rescue is not a registered non-profit organization and
as such donations are not considered tax-deductible for Federal income tax purposes.   We hope to file for our non-profit status soon, but wanted to make sure everyone understood our current situation.

In Need of Adoption

Otis

Otis is about three years old.  He is a cream colored male shar pei.  He is very loving - loves people, other dogs and even seems to get along with cats!  He appears to have been an outdoor dog - he is learning to use stairs at his foster family home.  He is completely housetrained.

With these wrinkles, he won't last long, so please email us if you'd like more details or to meet him.

He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered and ready for his new home.

Got Ink??

Another way to donate is by collecting used ink cartridges from your printer, cell phones or larger toner cartridges from business printers.
We participate in a program that pays Pei People for our collection and recycling efforts!

Please email us if you'd like to make a donation of these items.   We can provide you with pre-paid shipping labels and/or pre-paid envelopes.

In Need of Adoption

Leilah

Leilah is an approximately 4 year old black colored Shar Pei female.  She is good with other dogs, cats and kids!  She just got entropian (eyelid) surgery and is recovering nicely (that is why her eyes look a little 'crusty' in photo - which will go away when fully healed).  She is about 35 pounds, spayed and up to date on shots and ready to go to her new home!

She will need a good quality dog food to keep her coat looking nice.

Renday

My foster parents LOVED me.  They wanted any potential adopter to know
what is great about me...

"She really is THE BEST DOG!!  My 2 kids and I messed with her all the time and she never had an issue.  The best part is that she's completely potty trained.  She has better manners than my own dogs.  I would keep her in a second, but my pack does not get along with others.  Don't miss the chance to own the best dog!!!"

Renday is an approximately 2-4 year old spayed female (shelter said 4, but our private vet says probably no more than 2).  She is housetrained, loves to play, is great with kids and is up to date on shots  and microchipped.  She is very strong on leash, is a great protector, chases cats, and can be picky with other dogs (she does well after a slow introduction). She is about 38 pounds.

Hope
*special needs*

Hope is a special dog.  She was turned in by her owners at age 10 to a shelter.  She appears to have vision in only one eye and doesn't hear well.  But she is calm and able to get around just fine.  She is gorgeous!   She is up to date on shots and needs to be spayed before adoption.   She is housetrained and about 60 pounds.

She is currently in a foster home, but deserves to be in a forever home for her last years.   She does get along with other dogs and just enjoys life.  She is not a cuddle dog and prefer to greet and interact with people on her terms.  She isn't agressive, but will give a warning bark if she isn't happy.  She knows how to use a doggy door and is looking for a calm family where she can co-exist and trust that her owners won't abandon her.

If you are interested in Hope (how could you not love that face?), email:  info@peipeople.com
