Got Ink??

Another way to donate is by collecting used ink cartridges from your printer, cell phones or larger toner cartridges from business printers.
We participate in a program that pays Pei People for our collection and recycling efforts!

We used to be able to send out envelopes so you could send them in directly, but the recycler stopped that program.  If you have cartridges that you'd like to donate (original branded ones, no refilled ones please), please mail them to:

In Need of Adoption

Princess

Princess is a 7 year old spayed female shar pei/pug mix.  She is a happy girl and a great dog (she's tuckered out in the photo after a running with a bike).  Good with kids and other dogs.   She is about 35 pounds and tons of fun!

email: info@peipeople.com

Spike

Spike's Facebook page

Spike is an 8 year old bearcoat shar pei. He is SUPER Mellow and just loves people. He would really like to find a home where he can follow you around (non-stop) and be your new best friend.

He is houstrained, rarely barks, is great with other dogs (as long as they don't jump all over him). He would really like a retiree or family where someone is home that he can spend time hanging around with.   He is super good with kids.

Spike is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and healthy.  He walks easily on a leash, knows how to sit (and learns quickly - he LOVES treats).

Roscoe

Roscoe is a 9 month old male black brush coat shar pei.   He is recently neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  He is very sweet (likes to give kisses) and appears good with other dogs.  We will have more info posted shortly.

Patton is a 5 year old male fawn chinese shar pei.   He was found stray in south San Diego area with an embedded harness cutting into his neck.   The harness has been removed and he has been sewn up and neutered.

Despite the pain, he has has been a very good boy - no growling or complaining with all the vet techs and shelter staff.  Good with medium and large dogs (submissive and happy) and great with people.   [Very small dogs look like play toys to him and are not recommended as housemates]

Patton is neutered and is be up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Noelle

Noelle is a one year old lilac (or isabella?) horsecoat female spayed shar pei.  She was found as a stray and is super sweet and nice.   She is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for adoption.  She is good with other dogs and great with people.

Popcorn

Popcorn was left tied to a tree with a bag of food all night in the rain - in front of a school.  He's now a Pei People pei!  He is a cream male shar pei, about 1 year old.   He is a real love bug and is sweet.

He has some skin problems (guessing fungal) that need clearing up and he will need good food.   He's happy and playful and rides well in the car.

Popcorn iseutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped - ready for adoption!!!

  Ginger & Roger
*mother/son pair*

Ginger (top) is an 9 year old female shar pei.  Roger (bottom) is a 7 year old male shar pei.  They are mother and son and were turned in by their owners to the shelter.

They are SUPER RELAXED and calm.  Both are large and happy and would love to spend their day hanging out in a yard.  They like being around people and other dogs.  They don't need a high fence, cause they are happy at home with you!

See their You Tube video by clicking here
These two need to be adopted together.   They have lived the last 7 years together and should enjoy the rest of their years together.

Both are super gentle and sweet.  Both are crate trained, ride well in the car,  are housetrained, and take treaks gently.  They are both well mannered and get along with other dogs and kids.   Both are quiet (not barkers at all) and love to give kisses and curl up with you.

Both are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and full of love!!!

email: info@peipeople.com

Peggy

Peggy is an 4-5 year old female shar pei.  She is very well mannered, comes when called and walks well on a leash.  She gets along with other dogs and is friendly. She is a bit shy but comes around when she knows you.

Peggy is spayed, microchipped & up-to-date on vaccines.   Peggy is good with most dogs and loves to be around people.!

email: info@peipeople.com

Yogi

Yogi is a 2 year old blue male shar pei.  Is has a very soft short coat.   Yogi had one owner his whole life and was raised with a small dog and kid.   Yogi is very scared right now and would like an experienced owner who will be patient with him while he adjusts.  He will be worth the effort!  He does seem to have an issue with men (or we could say he prefers women).

Yogi is neutered, will be up to date on vaccines and neutered prior to adoption.  Yogi is about 40 pounds (on the smaller side)

email: info@peipeople.com

Princess "2"

Princess is a female brush coat lilac colored shar pei.  Our vet estimates she is 2 years old.  She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  She is good with other dogs.  (We have two dogs named Princess right now, so be sure to ask for Princess 2 when contacting us!)

emails: info@peipeople.com

Meg

Meg is an approximately 10 month old red female chinese shar pei.   She is great with other dogs and is a sweety.  She is a bit smaller than standard, under 40 pounds.  She was a stray and had a lot of skin issues, but they have mostly cleared up (a couple more months of TLC and great food and her coat should look fabulous!).   She will be spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption.

email: info@peipeople.com

Sally

Sally is a bonemouth female shar pei.   She is recently spayed and ready for a new home.  She was a shelter favorite and volunteers brought her to our attention because they thought she was so great!

Sally is 2-3 years old and is around 48 pounds. She is up to date on vaccines and is microshipped.

Sally is hit and miss with other dogs (sometimes growls at them on walks, other times not).  She would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog in the household.  Sally is super sweet and loves to give kisses and take walks (she does need to learn some leash manners!).

email:  info@peipeople.com

Cognac

Cognac is just over a year old and is a male shar pei.  He is happy and sweet.  He has gained weight and had entropion (eyelid) surgery since coming out of the shelter.   He is a great sweet dog and the volunteers that meets him fall in love!

Cognac is good with other dogs, but can play on the rough side.  He would do well either as an only dog or with great playmates.

Cognac is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped (just waiting for you!)

Smokey

Smokey is abouut 2 years old. He was one of two shar pei we took in late last year after their (human) parents were both killed in a car crash. His "sister" was adopted quickly. Smokey was a little more to handle; but is now ready for adoption. He LOVES people and will shower people with licks and kisses. He loves the yard (and is not a barker!) and knows "sit".

Smokey is about 50 pounds and would do best in a home without small kids (mostly because when we first got him, he could be very growly around strangers - that is no more, but we don't want to take chances with kid).   He is so so with other dogs - some he seems ok with; many not so much, so he would do best as an only dog.   He is crate trained and rides well in the car.

Smokey is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped - just needs a good home!

Hercules

Hercules is a male shar pei with great fawn/black mixed coloring.   He is full sized at 55 pounds.   He is very sweet, takes treats gently and walks well on a leash.   The shelter reported him to be food agressive with his bowl, so he needs an adopter that can feed him separately (we haven't noticed any agression).   We think he is about 5 years old.   He is crate trained and very friendly.
Hercules is pretty mellow, walks well on a leash, appears ok with with other dogs (if other dogs bark or aggress at him, he will bark back).Hercules is already neutered, up to date on vaccines and will be microchipped prior to adoption.

Charlie

This handsome boy is Charlie and he is a 71 pound bundle of joy.  He is good with other dogs.  He arrived at the shelter with his brother, who was quickly adopted (not a shar pei) and he was very sad.  So we decided to make him a Pei People dog where he'd have lots of other friends.  Now he needs a new home.  He is approx 5-7 years young.  He is tentative around everything at first and clearly was used to having another dog "lead" and he followed.  He is very comfortable around a swimming pool.

email: info@peipeople.com

Miss Piggy

Miss Piggy is 4 years old. She loves cats (has spent several years with many cats) and is good with kids. She gets along with other dogs very well. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.   Miss Piggy is about 35 pounds and is very sweet and loves giving kisses.

She is prone to ear  infections, so keeping her ears clean will be on the task list. She  is very easy going and loves to ride in the car.  She prefers women over men (she is scared around most men but not aggressive).

Email: Info@peipeople.com

Fuzzy

Fuzzy is a male shar pei from a local shelter.  We are not sure of his age yet, but his teeth are super clean, so well under 2 years (we will have vet confirm).  He acts young.    Fuzzy needs some TLC to get his skin back in shape - he will be on anti-fungal and antibiotics meds for his skin for a few months and will likely need baths 2+ times a week to get his coat in shape.  He will be getting entropion (eyelid) surgery and correcting cherry eye.   He is about 40 pounds, but needs to put weight on.

if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, email: info@peipeople.com

Orly

Orly is a 2 year old apricot dilute (pink nose and tongue) female shar pei.   She is very active (high energy) and happy and loves people.   She is so so with other dogs (would classify her as an alpha dog) and is about 43 pounds.  She pulls on a leash and isn't crazy about crates.   She is a big love and is looking for her perfect home!

Click here for a video of Orly!

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Ayla
*adoption pending*

Ayla is a two year old lilac brush coat female shar pei.  She is very friendly and sweet, she is about 47 pounds.  She came to us with almost no vision and seemed to need to learn everything - how to walk on a leash, car rides and stairs.   She just had major entropion done in early January (we will post new photos after stitches out) and now that she can see her personality is coming out.  Much more playful...  She is good with other dogs, but needs a slow introduction (she likes to jump up on them she is so excited to meet a new dog!).   She is super kissy and a happy girl

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

email: info@peipeople.com
Leo
*adoption pending*

Leo is a 2 year old blue horsecoat male shar pei.  He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.   He was surrendered to the rescue after being found by a good citizen running loose.   His choke chain had to be cut off and recently had entropion (eyelid) surgery.

He is a super good boy, loves car rides. He is not a barker and is loves to play.  He would like a family that is home most of the time as he does have some separation anxiety (fortunately, he does well in a crate).

Leo is good with other dogs (he's pretty submissive) and seems to care less about cats.   He knows how to sit and has lots of energy!
